Michael is widely acclaimed around his hometown of Brisbane, Australia, for his jazz performance and dream-like improvisational works. His music includes gentle piano solos, some with orchestration or sounds from the wild, and more evocative pieces that rouse the spirit. His compositions are lyrical and uplifting, and speak to a world in need of serenity and time for reflection. Trained in the classics on three continents, Michael has a unique style of performance and improvisation which has earned him the respect of many in the local arts scene. He has played at exhibition openings and performed throughout Queensland at venues such as Brisbane’s Customs House, the One Hundred Acre Bar, Sebel Hotels, Ocean View Winery, Topiaries at Beaumont House Resort, Phoenix Sculpture Garden and others.
